What stops these auto's coming out of park.
Dad starts his truck, applies the foot brake but can only sometimes get it out to shift out of park.
Can anyone shed light on what the issue may be.

Brake light fuse will be blown

I've already suggested that but apparently the lights still working fine.
I'm guessing the lock-out is solenoid operated
