Any Restrictions on D Class Axle Configuration

Post by suzolla »

Hi,

As the title says, are there any restrictions on the configuration of axles for D Class trials trucks.
For instance could one run portals, can an axle assembly be built from scratch.
Just thinking about options.

Thanks

im pretty sure you can but there would be no point because noone really ever gets diffed out in a trial, and the extra amount of weight would be huge

Hi there! I'm a newbie to this forum. I've joined because I'm in search for more knowledge. Well, me and my brother are quite newbies and we're wondering just recently if there is a restriction in the axle. Lucky to found this post and quite helpful to learn to learn that there aren't any restrictions for a D and C class. Thanks for sharing the info.

err not quite first, Brian Lett used to run portal axles, think he used VW gear, grafted to hilux running gear, was a top truck in its day, but with the way things are going, lower and wider is the key now days, due to the sidlings being pegged.

Cheers
