filter light

The filter light came on in my 70 and it died :evil: It wont start but when you cash start it runs but when you put your foot down there's nothing......... :?: :?: Its a 3b So if anyone can help that would be great thanks abbo.. :wink:

Sounds like you have got water in the filter for the light to come on, have opened the drain valve on the bottom of the filter.
Regarding running but no grunt, sounds like a blocked fuel filter, could be the filter in the engine bay or the one in the tank on the end of the pick up.
Have you used any biodiesel as this can cause any gunk in the tank to be disolved into the fuel and block filters.

Ha there no i havent open drain value but will tomorrow. I was thinking it my have been fuel filter. Not to sure the last time they been replaced.

Went around yesterday and drained the fuel filter, is blocked up and needs replacing. Plenty of fuel being sucked through to the engine but yhe pump can't even force any fuel through to the fuel line to the engine. :mrgreen:
