will really come down to the type of 4wding you will be doing, both will suprise you where they will go ... the LWB will feel more stable going up/down steep hills however the departure angles on these standard suck. the Mitsi LSD is *almost* as good as the Nissan one and really makes a differance with traction

the LWB Paj has heaps of room for recovery gear/crap/kids/dogs etc and are really comfortable ride onroad .. the shorty pitches a little more however off road you can get the shorty places you wouldnt get the lwb

not much help i know but it really does come down to what *you* want to do

with both tho check them carefully for all the usual mitsi issues

*edit* have to admit though that fake wood grain in the shorty looks really REALLY tacky :D

does anyone know what 35" tyres would go like on it, would it have enough power?

Na, don't bother. The low range gearing is the issue.

35's rock! I love them on mine, no issues at all.

How much lift did you do to get them on? Does it lose much power?

35's + Gen 2 Paj + using it off road = not very practical.

The issue is in the gearing, you will get them to fit (yours has the factory flares so you loose a tyre size) with a body lift and spring lift and some cutting of the front guards but they will go on.

They only run a 1.9 transfer case gear ratio and with yours being an auto it makes it even worse.

Stick with the tried and proven 33's, got for a 2 inch body lift and you should be pretty happy with where it'll go. Running gear is up to 33's with bigger you will find idler arms will bend or at least flog out quicker.

If you want the 'look at me, I'm cool' factor then yes 35's will fit and if you only want to play in bogs they will work but when you want to go touring, winching etc you will find ratio;s horribly wrong without reduction gears (which for this very reason are available).

Couldnt agree more with the above.

Had 35's on my V6 3.0L Manual and although it was fine in the lower gears, as soon as you hit 3rd gear it really struggled to accelerate, in 4th also.

They were Silverstone MT117s, directional, which probably didnt help alot.

I dropped down to some 33" GY Wranglers MTRs, and the difference was amazing. Now its much better onroad (noise, vibration and gearing), and will not be significantly worse offroad with its lockers etc.

Thats my 2c
