Oil Cooler

I have a factory oil cooler on my '89 Isuzu 2.8 TD
The pipes that feed it are steel and run behind the block and one has holes in it :( :(
There is very little room between the fire wall and the block ... so little that I can not get the bolts out that hold the pipes in place and if I managed to get them out I don't belive I could get them back in on the replacement.
So
Option one ...
Run rubber hose in place of the current sleel pipe and risk it rubbing a hole on something.

Option two ... leave it out

Oprion 3 ... Do it right ... make up a new one, Drop the gearbox to lower the back of the moter refit it.
