88 Surf Body Lift bolts,

Post by skid4x4 »

hi guys, just wondering if any one knew the bolt leght and thread for and 88 urf 50mm body lift, have done a few body lifts before but trying to keep this one on the road untill all parts ready to get it done,,

even if some one knew the standard length and thread i can work the rest out,

cheers,

have often wondered if a subject could be put in the main tool talk column just for body lift specifications as when i searched i found alot of questions but not so many answers, so mayby a subject for people who have done it and have the thread and length specs for their vehicles lift could be a good reference for the others looking to get all bits needed before starting to dismantel the truck,,

any help or thorts apreciated cheers

8x 10mm x 150mm 8.8 bolts
2x 125mm 8.8 bolts
dont forget to lower radiator as if you dont the height changes the amount of water for running
fuel filler hose as well
lastly bend gear lever to get 5th and rev back

One of the easiest and quickest mods to do to get bigger rubber on.
Supra surf and I used to do a complete body lift in about 45mins, but I can't remember the bolt sizes (was a few years ago now), but as long as you have another vehicle available, you have plenty of time to lift it, fit blocks and line them up, measure for new bolts where required and go and purchase them ( assuming you are in a town where there is a supply outlet), and fit them up in less than a day easy.
Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!

thanks guys,

yeah ive done a few before but not a surf, still easy enuf to sort out the standard sutff, just wanted to make sure i had enuf of the right sized bolts on hand as im a little way from town so being organized is easyer,

thanks for those measurements,

just out of intrest who here has gone with nylock nuts before?

i know the standard ones arnt but i went for them in my navara as the price difference wasnt worth looking at,

thanks again

is there even much difference throughout the different surfs? or are they pretty much same lenght bolts through the years?

But with nylocks you should only use them once.
