Terrano Snorkel

Post by JJ »

I saw a really good home made snorkel for a terrano a couple of years back but I can't find it now. Has any one got any good ideas on how to do one on a v6 injected one?

I bought one for a desiel. There are three inlets into the airbox, block off the two smallest. Pull out all the air resivior in the wheel arch/panel. Get some flexible good size pipe glue into on to the snorkel and airbox + clamps, secure into panel. Test by putting plastic bag over snorkel. I have seen pipes made out of other material, but then you have to get the bends right so as not to disturb airflow. For $285 I was pleased. When you take all the other two air inlet shit off you have some more room to play with.

The diesel o\1 has a restricted inlet size for the petrol airbox. Get a plastic welder to fit a larger fitting.
