howdy all !

Post by its_that_guy2 »

i thought id sign up here and say hi to all those like minded people out there ,, especially after the great time i had on the past weekends coastguard fundraiser trip

my name i Shane live in wellington well Upper Hutt
i drive a 70series swb cruiser with a under powered 3.4 d non turbo . on 31 10.5 15s ( apparently maxxis buckshots are crap! so not a 31")

ive also had a rangey estate bobtailed and lifted on 33's which in some way i do miss .... ( but not in fuel consumption )

id like to get into this more if anyone can help ?

also ... a few things id like to know about the cruiser ..
ive heard that the factory oil pressure gauges always crap out and read wrong ie no or little pressure ( mine does this )
and who has spares lol

This is what happens when curly takes it in for a warrent

When I had it, it was in quite a bad state. The bolts on the centre diff had come loose and muched the diff and the housing, but I fixed that and then the motor blew, so fixed that and a few other things and it got a warrent. The exterior wasnt so flash, but the interior was quite nice. Then it got part traded with a guy in napier (who tidied it up and it came up quite nice) then it came back to welly.

Did you have it before or after it went up there?

And I wasn't impressed by the attitude of the police officer who showed up either.

It was not like I planned to cause a traffic jam on the hutt motorway in peak hour traffic

The funny part was watching the people I know laughing as they drove past on the other side of the motorway

ahhhhh poor ol rangy .....
yeh i had it prior napier ... well prior.

i made the bullbar .. put wheels and tyres on ..
interior made comfy by me ...skyline seats were the go ...
ahh a few other mods then sold to a pair of young fellas .. never saw it again ...
heard it was around though ..
it was at one stage urban camo on road 14' wheels with car tyres lol
i managed to spot it in a guys back yard while driving past one day and though hmmm .... i got to have it .
thats when i worked for fully equipped in lower hut ...
spent more time working on that and getting paid than i did customers vehicles lol
