big horn advice, whats it worth

looking at maybe buying my uncles big horn when the caldina sells. its a 98 3.1 diesel auto with about 220,000ks on it. motor was rebuilt about 45,000 ago and has been well maintained since. ok condition body one flare missing but only damage the flare so a new one will make it look mint (what woud one cost? back left) good tyres etc abs air bags. I don't want to rip him off but at the same time no way im paying more than what its worth. a mint looking one sold on trademe for 6500 yesteday with similar ks others seem to be selling for between 4 and 6. He thinks it worth a bit cos people are asking heaps for them but those ones arent selling.

Common problems with these trucks? Auto overheated a few times pulling his boat so he got an oil cooler put in. Engine used to get quite warm up long hills with boat on too but i think radiator flush fixed this. Water pump went not long ago and it got really hot due to lack of water but seems ok now. Will get comp and leak down test done first. If it was a toyota i would suspect a craked head at this stage. His mechanic assued him it was fine when he got water pump done but will def get it checked out properly. Anything else to look for?
