Trick for new players when it comes to 24V trucks

I had the misfortune to flatten the battery on my truck. Thinking that I was all prepared for such an emergency I tried to jump start from my Corolla. No luck. This could have some thing to with the Corolla battery being the same sixe as a AAA battery.
Figured out that both batteries may be drained.
Lesson learnt: if both batteries are flat one set of jumper leads arnt gonna cut it.
Oh, heres a thought. Could I jump it from one battery to the other, without the use of a donar vehicle. When I tried to work it out I get dizzy and my head hurts
An yes, my mechanic knowledge is limited
A jump pack is on the shopping list, once I convince the wife that it more important than eating, she needs to burn off a few kilo's anyway
