1PZ Cruiser

Hi I am new to owning a diesel motor, just bought a 1992 1pz cruiser. goes great when warm but very noisy on start up, I know diesels knock a tad when you cold start them but this sounds quite loud to me.. But the guy I bought it from was a engineer and assured me it was well maintained.. Anyway any advice gratefully welcomed as I am new to diesels..

they all rattly when cold dude. the 1PZ is a cool engine and all you need to do is service it regularly and it will go forever
