hey guys. Just wanting to replace the stock air box from my navara. The one it comes with is a cylinder type and wont take a k&n air filter so I want to replace it with a panel type that will take a k&n, I would like to know if this is possible and if it is what kind will fit, like if an air box from a differant kind of vehicle will fit in nicely.

Im not sure if your Navara is petrol or diesel or if it has a MAF sensor or map sensor but either way the air filter sits infront of any sensor so just about any kind of airbox and filter combination should work just fine.
The air box from a primera or pulsar should fit ok with minor modifications and they both take a panel filter.

Pretty sure the V6 Terrano has a panel filter.

I fitted a terrano filter in my navara pretty sure k@n do filters for them and they are a straight bolt in you just have to re plumb the air intake i left my fatory filter on there as had straight pipe to snorkle
mines a nonturbo if that makes any differance

should do. Navara is basically identical to terrano from the cab forward etc.

what motor has the navara got?

nz new navaras have td27 non turbo and imports td27 turbo i belive
find someone with terrano same model as yours and get them to pop the bonnet to have a look or try a car yard

TD25, TD27, QD32 atmo and turbo efi and mechanical versions, ZD30. also the v6 and 4cyl petrols.

got an airbox out of a primera. it fit in pretty nicely without much hassle. would recommend doing it, i got HEAPS of power increase
