If you are coming from the Ahaura end it is worth calling at the house.
If going over Napoleons you can get cellphone coverage from a couple of points on the top of hill , but you will still have a wait at the gate while they bring a key to the gate.
Are you doing Subaru Hill on your birthday Trip ?

It would seem rude not to, wouldn't it
. Rude's mate that he is bringing is really keen to see the tunnels so I thought that after doing Mt Greenland on friday morning, we would head to Reefton via the tunnels accessing from Subaru Hill. Chasm on Saturday and powerhouse on Sunday. Seems the SINDA club are going to be there as well and looking at doing the chasm. Anyone know what he charges to open the gate per vehicle?

Andi, Paul and myself went through last Xmas and I think it was $10 per truck.

will let you know how we do. Small group only, well set up rigs, boys are moaning because I have made it a very early start for this very reason. If we loose time we will just take the easy way up to napoleons hill.
