If you go through the centre of the mudholes ensure you have plenty of jandle going. So called "unpassable" part hads been re-made. We just cut the washout edges more, filled it in some and it now fits a nissan. Rockgarden is getting easier. Still a good track. The clay rock was very slippery going down in the wet.

This is a snap of the boys finishing off the track before we all went through. I only wished I had taken a pic before they started any work. It sure looked un-doable!
Where Rude is standing. (swinging the pick) The track was that washed out that it was a bank that was pretty much vertical from his feet up to around 5ft.
They did really well clearing it.

Sorry Pete, never took any. Nifty did a great vid, but he has to burn it and send it over. Can't really say I saw many cameras as most of us were either road building, assisting with winching of trucks and fixing trucks. I will ask around though.

Everyone knows I'm green Al. No surprises there mate.

Sure, we have mountains. They have hills. But from what I've "heard" they have just as many good tracks as us.

Couldn't agree with you more Mike. Got a big trip to Oz planned next year for Rude's 42 (double 21) so that is the priority. Want to do a big road trip up that way, maybe in 2011.

Hi Al
If you just do a road trip up north you will miss the challenging tracks like Rallywoods has to offer.

It is worth just going for the weekend and Socializing with the Wellington Guys who are like a family and driving the tuff tracks.

There are a dozen tuff tracks 5mins from the hut. Janet says it is like a whole lot of Petrol Hills.

We are heading North again in a little over a month for 11 day's

Cheers Richard
