well noticed a slight nocking noise when driveing my 2.7td terrano last week but the funny think is its only faint but it is noticeable. only happens when in 5th gear and only when you press the accelerator. had recon gearbox a year ago so that should be fine. nocking beat goes faster as the revs get higher which makes me think its in the motor. this has stumped me for a week now just listening to the nocking. it also doesnt always happen, like mostly when its cold it is fine but when it gets a bit hotter it starts. well hope to get to the bottom of the mind bogling nocking, any help/sugestions is apreciated. thanks

flogged uni joint or engine mount maybe??

il cheak that on weekend, if it doesnt go bang before then,need to do some seriouse cleaning befor i can have a look lol. black everywhere.

Timing is another option to look at too. I know my engine knocked when the diesel pump timing went out.

but wouldnt that be in all gears regardless? my nocking is only in 5th
