noob question: which...nut/bolt/washer

Ok a VERY noob question here but here I go anyway...

During the removal of my roll cage (during a now expanded - lets paint the tray in the 40 exercise) I have found that although all the bolts seem to be rated (8. not all have spring washers and some have spring washers and flat washers and one has no washers at all, some are also slightly different sizes too (length and head). I am planning to replace all bolts with new which I redo a fair bit of the toy.

What is the why what wherefors when it comes to nuts, bolts and washers? Is there a pre-existing reference for this or can we make this thread one?

i would be looking at 8.8 grade,flat washer on bolt head end flat washer on nut end with spring washer or no spring and nylock nut

Thanks Taz01... Almost what I was planning so nicely corrected .. I was missing flat washer underneath

fine all the time (where poss, ie pre existing threads into an engine block for instance, may be imperial or course)..
