That's one insane kart.

They say drifting a stock Arrow rotax max125 kart doesn't work properly because of the geometry and the way a kart is setup to take corners. Because they use a solid rear axle. Front camber and caster are setup so when you're turning the inside rear wheel lifts off the ground enabling it to turn easier. But hey, that's only with 35hp. With lots more drifting is easy.

Funny thing is wopass. The difference between the class my kart would run in and the open class (anything goes) that that kart would run in, you'd think there would be more than just a couple of seconds between them. But that's a fact, the open class karts aren't that much faster than a little 125cc Rotax Max.

Painting the tyre in petrol, it softens the tyre really well :D highly illegal for racing though
Another trick I was told was to run a small amount of oil in the fuel so it builds up carbon in the engine which then increase compression which = slightly more power :D

only illegal if ya get caught

you really need a second set of tyres tho for warm up etc as you waste the grip the doping effect has in the warm ups there no use in being fast in the warmups

From the little I know about the go-kart tires.
My kart came with open class rubber, down to well over half use all round. We munted them pretty fast. Ya have to rotate em because most tracks favour one direction. It only took a couple of laps and you had enough heat in em to go hardies into the corners. I think the rubber they use in comps are the ones to get used to. Hey they're only $250 for a whole set.
I'm getting just as much fun out of watching my friends trying to beat lap times as I am having a go.

The sport is such a good thing to get into. Even if your budget is slim. I mean, just over $5k got me a 2 year old kart ready to race. It's a blast.
