The ones I have would be ideal... assuming you aren't goingto be competing they will do the job nicely. $850 all up for a 12,000lb 12V winch brand new...
2nd hand Warn ones get anywhere from about $550 upwards in the buy sell and trademe...

Quite a bit, i can send you some photos of mine if you like, depends on how elaborate you wanna get, you could do just a simple cradle or make a whole bar to suit!!

Steve....is that the "12000lb 12V DC Winch" advertised on the main page??
I recently convinced my FIL to get a Bighorn, 1997 LWB 3.1DT. He is in Horticulture & is looking at fitting a winch that he can use to help pull over or drag out of the way the occasional tree. Would something like this suit??
Is there anywhere in NZ that anyone knows of that makes a repalcement bumper specificly designed to accommodate a winch and possibly bull bars etc??
Cheers

Hi, it is a braked winch, but not sure of the braking capabilities. Will drag the manual out and have a look.
It would be perfect for towing greenies off trees

and then pulling the tree out of the way too...
I'll have one mounted to my MU hopefully in the coming week... cut the hole in the bumper ready to mount it up the other day. Also just bough a similar model bighorn so will probably develop a winch bumper for it.

Ah sweet.....yeah any info would be great
I took a look on the "links" section and have since visted the Fully Equiped website, I see they make steel bumpers with wonch mounts built in so we also e-mailed them to see what pricing is like.....I expect it will be quite expensive though.

Looks good!! He has since brought a winch, got it for a good price and it's rated for plenty of weight. I;ll pass on these pics as he'll likely get one made like yours......prices on the genuine one's are crazy high!!
Many thanks
