Hi Rex, thanks for your entry. That business of the "one run"is a tricky one as it will depend on a number of factors such as the number of entries. If we get a big group of entries and promised more than one run we could have a major time problem! We are being cautious and not making such promises so no-one can complain if it's not possible on the day.
Now on the subject of entries....we could use more or Rex will get bored driving in mud! Go to
http://www.4x4challenges.org.nz for details and entry form.
A vehicle can run more than once using different drivers who have entered....get someone else to help clean the vehicle! (there will be a wash area to get rid of the worst mud!)

i dont think its about who
wins ie:gets the furthest or the fastest at that sort of thing, its more about who has the most fun....and who's covered in the most mud...thats the winner in my opinion

There's been a bit of talk about the Mud Challenge and at least one entry from this forum but the event is looking a bit of a planning nightmare unless we can get some more clear interest.
We would like some expressions of intention to compete at least, to
mudchallenge@4x4challenges.org.nz by this Friday evening.
We have reduced the entry fee to $10 if paid before March 18 or $20 entry on the day.
The number of attempts will be dictated by the number of entries.
There are television crews attending so we would like to give them something to film!
The event details are on
http://www.4x4challenges.org.nz
We would like to make this an annual event as a fun, no panel damage event for four wheelers but will need your support.

I'll make a new radiator blind to replace the one the winch ate at 11:45Pm in the middle of a bog up the wires loop somewhere, and i'll have charge in mine
I'll be in a easier class to you, but i can't compete against 33" Simex's and Swampers though, so just gonna be doin it for the fun!!!!!!!

You guys will need to be good to outrun the full 52bhp of the Series One! I reckon there's just enough tread left on the tyres to handle the power. The only question remaining is which gear to choose.
Don't forget that we'd really like to get an email to
mudchallenge@4x4challenges.org.nz before Friday evening to advise who will be coming along so we can sort out a game plan.
There was a question about the extra fee of $5 if you're not a NZFWDA club member and yes that's still payable for each entrant to help cover our insurance.
Don't forget you can re-use a vehicle with another driver...and delegate the cleaning later!
Regards
