Went to PN to attend the NZFWDA CZ meeting. Good debate about the joining SPRAC and their drug policies. We will be providing more info for our KIWI4x4 members shortly
half way through building a front bar, built a snorkel (RML special),tightened wheel bearings and did a water pump and thermostat. Hopefully tomorrow finish front bar, sort out rear bar and deck lift. Weld all joins and grind back snork, paint and fit. Get rid of valve in rear to get new disks working, look at inventing a custom handbrake and throw in radiator, bleed and test run.. Lots to do on the new(ish) truck before a trip mid august but should get there with a few late nights
Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level then beat you with experiance!
Finally put in my water temp gauge, looks good, and taking it in to get the bar work made up, winch on, and rear tire arm put on tues, should be able to achieve ramming speed then

Yeah, put the radiator back in - engine normally runs cooler with one of them connected up and filled with water and anti freeze not liquid mud which you seam to be using
changed oil and filter in the 60 and ground off a few bits that didnt need to be there, swapped the volt reg in the ute for a good one but no joy, helped rich with a real pinion seal and went for a ride in the new midi, now i have a belt squeling noise in the 60 to sort and yes ive tensioned the belts so will look further into it
took the gammy factory cassette stereo out of the ln60 , made a panel to fill the massive hole it left and fitted a new stereo. fitted 2 new tow hooks so theres 1 on each corner now. will probably need them at woodhill next weekend ,to tow the stuck fullas out it will probably be muddy as. have to modify the rear bar i got from gimmemud. think it must have been fitted to his wagon after the body lift was done.
I got the majority of the rear double triangulated 4 link set up done on the mutt. Now just have to mount fuel tank , ctr mount winch, build new 3 link front, fit the 304, auto, dual cases etc, build the coil overs, sort the hydro pneumatic forced artic mounts for the front, rewire the whole rig, mount the new body and sort all the body mods, refit all the bar work and exo and it will be all done and ready for cert
Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!
Down the river at Timona Park, took the kids down for a play and bike ride and spotted it. Water flowing too fast to get out to it. Was thinking of dragging it out.
