Should I replace my toyota surf?

Considering purchasing another 4wd. I currently own a standard 1994 Toytota Surf, has done 170km but been scratched and banged up a bit (being used as a mobile kennel did not help). The tire tread is getting worn and is showing a little rust and I also need to install a tow-bar which would cost money (getting a small boat). Rather then spending money on my old truck (which could be more reliable imo ), maybe I should sell it and purchase another vehicle.

Apart from the cost of repairs and fuel usage (not going to improve much on that IMO) my surf has been a good vehicle and has meet all of my expectations. Might get around $8000 for it.

For $8500 I can get this, It has new tires, a tow bar and I gain a snorkel. But I would lose roof racks and boot space.

or maybe a Nissian Terrano. Get a newer truck, airbags :? (Would have to stop nudging into logs/rocks)... Easy to transfer roof racks.

Well if your present hilux is "scratched & banged up a bit" you wont get $8000 for it...more like 5 -> 6 ....so id tend to make the few mods to the hilux & keep it .
