Ashley River - Bird nesting season

Have been keeping an eye on the coming Wrybill nesting season and today noticed signs are up today. These were in the open riverbed upstream from the Rangiora bridge.
Not sure what areas they are nesting this year but other years it has been the open riverbed upstream of the bridge and the south side of the main flow down stream of the bridge.
Just be aware of these guys when using the Ashley. Still plenty of areas to play around them.
