As above im looking at doing some upgrades on my 1996 TJ i was looking at a
#1= 2inch lift
#2= some larger tyers ie 31 or 32 inch simex if they will fit with the lift
#3= A winch as im bound to get stuck with bigger tyers as ill try alot more lol
Im looking at doing this next year when I save some more money up. If anyone has any feedback or info about these mods plese let me know im looking for price and if these are all I will need to do or if I need to do more. I dont want it to become a tough or a club truck just better off road and still keep most of its onroad manners it has now if pos. I would also like to just mount the winch onto the bumper as it is without a bull bar with just a winch plate .

It all depends on your budget. You can actually run 31" tyres on a standard TJ as long as you do not disconnect sway bars. 32" would give you good road manners and enough clearance. These can be run on 2.5" suspension lift (disconnected front for more flex). If you go any higher, you have do things properly or it won't drive well. I have been using OME springs, but will not be getting them again (they have sagged due to the weight of stuff I have on).
You can buy a winch plate and install a winch on standard bumper. Winch plates are relatively cheap. Which winch, well again depends on the budget.
There are a few Jeepers here who have been through all this, so ask away. No need to make guesses and spend money un-necessarily.

Put the simexes on a spare set of rims coz the noise will drive you crazy on the road and they'll be bald after 10k.... they dont last long on the road

Hey Chops
We started from a stock 96 wrangler. So far have put 2" Budget boost (coil spacers), got these off trademe, and a 1.25" body lift. Am currently running 31" Coopers on stock rims with a front quick disco. Am going to 15x8 rims with a -ve25mm offset and 33's. Hopefully there will not be to much rubbing. Have popped a winch on recently, both plate and winch were on trademe as well.
Will probably leave it at that once the 33's are on.
Just one option for you
