got a wof on the Paj ... went straight through which surprised the hell out of me

was sure i was up for some brake work.
Last month Ive been in Limbo .. what with Mum passing away and catching up with Dad for the first time in 10 years so not a lot of 4wd related stuff been going on, EXCEPT the iminant purchase of this little beastie ..

hopefully if that sod Murphy (and he's been a right little sh*t lately) can get off my back and leave me be this week I should be heading down next Sat to pick her up. needs a little finishing but am looking forward to having something that will do the more extreme stuff than the paj cant handle.
First Job is to fit an exhaust system then the warn 9000lb winch

then off to play

Decided to rip out the speakers in the new toy to see what the problem was. Seems the cones are paper and dont exist anymore. That will explain the crappy sound quality. Guess something else just got added to "The List".
Still smiling when I cruise in my new wheels though, gotta love looking down on the 2wd plebs.

bugger all this weekend really
friday afternoon I got the phone call to say I needed a new head for my faaarked motor, so that pretty much put a downer on the weekend.
saturday was spent on the end of a Kango hammer digging holes at my engine builders house and pouring concrete etc, all ready for the retaining wall now, so we thought we'd done a good days work and threw some ales in a chilly bin and went for a drive round the coast to have fresh blue moki for tea with mr and mrs beer cruiser, yummmmmmm
as for today.........
I'm calling it training for next weekend
so far after getting up, I havent moved off the lazy boy, so its being classed as training for next sunday and the great race
at least it will last longer than the fight of the century

Had a peak under two other Land Rovers on Saturday and they too don't have a fuel return pipe ... hence why I couldn't find one on mine. Haynes manual hinted there was one.
Hmm, looks like the carby on my Holden 186 has got a fuel return pipe built into it ... I might just bung it and pray the fuel pressure doesn't make it all go ka-boom ??? It'll be a mission to plumb in a new fuel return pipe to the tank.

Him, Me and 20 or so other fantastic 4wheelers
I had a great time and learnt heaps Thanks for all the great advice, it meant I was able to help within the capabilities of my vehicle and not be a liability.
Thanks also to the guy that pulled my Isuzu off the fence after I touched the brakes to avoid a vehicle that had stopped in the middle of the road at the corner to the hall
Thanks again
If anybody else was involved please post here

replaced a mates rear diff in his senator on friday arvo
then spent the next few hours trying to convince him just cause i have replace the old broken one doesn't mean he could do his darndest to try break this one too
sat pulled the dash and everything out of the cruiser after the wee electrical fire , only to find out it want quite as small as i thought ...so a sat morning job turned into a all day event .
finally finished around 11pm and she fired first time ( with the help of engine start as usual lol )
took it out for a quick spin to make sure ( new fire extinguisher on my lap ) and just down the road from my house i see headlights in the bushes ... turn out a surf on shoddy road tyres had decided he was the next barry crump
pulled him out and off he went .. not even a thank you or a toot .....
sunday ..... decided to go see my mates and what do ya know ... same place i see a 4wd ( wannabe ) bongo van on commercial tires and a cop car parked beside the motorway .... again i stop to lend some assistance possibly . i pull the van out and well .. that was easy enough ...... then he says oh now can we get my truck out lol they bought the bongo to get the surf out ( yes another surf ) another easy recovery atleast this guy actually said thanks ....
finally make it to my mates place .. on my way home 10pm i cant believe my eyes ... another set of friggen headlights in the trees ... hmmm i almost wanted to drive past but yeh well ya know karma n all that..
seems a bunch of young fellas decided to take dads cherokee out and were absolutely crapping themselves to think they were going to have to tell dad they had his truck let alone where it was etc ...
just bout out and BANG!
snatch strap snaps ,,,,,
tied it up and got him out too ....
i think its someone elses turn next time huh lol
so anyone in upper hutt area that knows of that lil mud play area you see heading north on your left just before the riverstone terraces aka craigs flat turn off ,,, just keep an eye out down there id hate to imagine the amount of people that have been stuck that i havent pulled out lol
enough from me time for a beer
