60 serries pto drive into lj78 prado box???????

Hi guys, new here but not new to the mud. active in the clubs.
Im presently building a new truck the pruggerdore.
What I want to know is will 60serries cruiser pto drive in the gear box bolt in to my 92 lj78 prado box. I have been told it will but want to confirm before I put money in to find out. any thoughts would be appreciated thanks clive

Yeah so long as you've got a split transfercase in your 78, you want to pop the blanking plate off and check that you have the PTO drive gear in there though, sometimes they just put a long spacer on the shaft instead of the drive gear

thanks for that. so will the gear from the 60 series box not fit in if my box just has the spacer, would go have a look but its a bit wet out there

Yep should fit but you'd have to strip both transfercases down to swap the bits over
