60 serries pto drive into lj78 prado box???????

Hi guys, new here but not new to the mud. active in the clubs.
Im presently building a new truck the pruggerdore.
What I want to know is will 60serries cruiser pto drive in the gear box bolt in to my 92 lj78 prado box. I have been told it will but want to confirm before I put money in to find out. any thoughts would be appreciated thanks clive

Yeah so long as you've got a split transfercase in your 78, you want to pop the blanking plate off and check that you have the PTO drive gear in there though, sometimes they just put a long spacer on the shaft instead of the drive gear

Clint did it to his prado if you can find his old build thread

:D thanks for that. so will the gear from the 60 series box not fit in if my box just has the spacer, would go have a look but its a bit wet out there

Yep should fit but you'd have to strip both transfercases down to swap the bits over :mrgreen:
