HELP need a right rear axle for rocky

my right rear axle had enough and broke off, cant seem to track one down
85 rocky 2.8 turbo with 29 splines any help would be mint

im benoranges cuz, i counted the splines today on his axle(standard) and it has 30. i also happen to have my lsd (thnks andrew1706) completely in pieces so counted its splines, it has 29. so does your rocky have a lsd in the rear?

yea from what i can tell you will need to find an axle out of an lsd diff. if you get real stuck i have a diff head and matching axles i not using but it not a lsd

thanks for looking guys, as far as im aware i dont have an lsd ,eather that or its buggered im waiting on a couple of wreckers up north to pull axles out and have a count up but if it all turn to shit il bee in touch

try alan at allwheel drive spears in earn st he got a rocky in there. i also heard that there is one in gore at chalton auto. have you done any mods to your rocky. i doin lots to mine at mo

yea alans one has 30 splines,chaltons one has 27 splines, been on the phone for a couple weeks now trying to find one ,if i hadnt just bought bloody 5 stud white spokes i would have hilux diffs under it by now ,that would of been far easyer than trying to find an axle, theyr only 30mm wider in the spring centers
its not realy a project truck tho its mainly a hunting wagon.

if you can find some hilux diffs i may be keen to swap them for my rugger ones as i am looking at doing this. my back diff is an lsd aswell and they r hard to find

how much are you after for that spare rear diff benorange?
my only other option at this stage is to get a 30 spline 1 and turn it in half ,make a sleve and weld it up to make 1 useful 1 out of 2 (mine broke at the wheel side of the bearing and had to weld it up to get it home so its beyond repair)

0272247119 the only whole diff i could sell you at mo is the one with lsd in it would sell for $600. the other spare i have is in mudslugs truck at mo well he works on his

talked to mudslug and he going to give my old diff back so could sell you 30 spline axles and diff head that will fit yours for $200

cheers dude il keep that in mind, machined the hub end off and welded it up today so il give it a try tomorrow night and see how it goes

i guessin you a fitter turner. would you b keen to build me some driveshafts if i get all the bits and sort what i need. i a fitter turner by trade but the workshop i workin at does not have a lathe

as a machinest have you considered just getting 30spline and resplining it to the 29?

haha im not a machinest ,just a rough mechanic, axle seems to be mint only lost 10mm or so off the length and pretty well centered ,dont wanna spend any more time on the pos ,building a surf with 7m duels lockers and longs etc thats nearing completion so wanna get back to it, weil see how long the weld up lasts and if it doesent i guess you will be hearing from me.
