full foater hubs

the 40 has rear axle oil leak, does the hub come off in one unit or needs to be pulled down bit by bit

Pull the axle out coxsy, if its the inner axle seal then you should be able to replace the seal without taking the hub off :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

to late we pulled it down any clue to retightening hub nut please :D learning things here it cool :D

Its the opersite to how you undid it coxsy, you have to align the lock screws up with the holes to tighten them up to secure the wheel bearing nut :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

If you were askin how to adjust the hub bearings:
Do the nut up till it goes tight, back it off 1/4 to 1/2 a turn, spin the hub, do it up till you just start to feel it go tight again, then line up the holes in the lock washer, easy :)

Hay Coxy go on to the aussie 4x4 mags site search in Ruthies area thing and he has the whole rear hub rebuild on video in cluding on how to reseat the bearings using a small :lol: engineers hammer :lol: very informative
