1st Round of Nationals

Only a week to go to the first round.
How many ORE members are there involved??
Looking at the forecast for the weekend and what has already been looks like it is going to be wet and slippery, what a shame since the truck is all nice and clean. Sure I will get over it though
Even managed to find my log book from last season and plan to get the truck already to go tomorrow.

just out of interest, who as a compeditor has heard about the seymours new truck being chromemolly and then phill collins making the cage being cut back off for a normal cage which is proven physically and mathimatically 12x weaker (obviously waaaaaaay LESS safe)? who has heard about all of this?

was round at Pedros tonight working on the rally truck, as you do in the final week before a trial
turned into a cluster faaark
Pedro, you are too clever for your own good
as the NCO would say.................
"theres room in our sport for ABS pump operated pulsating wheel brakes, but just not yet"
so back into it thursday night and probably a fair bit of friday and friday night and maybe even saturday before hitting the road to scrutineering
the things we do to enjoy ourselves

I thought this was just normal for all compeditors??
The truck I co-drive in is at the dyno shop waiting to see if they get time to try to find a problem before the weekend, we still got a few other little bits to do if we get it back in time!
Be alot more interesting this year, 3.8 V6 vs 1.3 4cy last year!!

So it's not in the rulebook,
Design Safety team say it's OK
Not so fast, we need to call a meeting in Palmy and vote about it.
You can't go to the meeting and there are no minutes

They were paid to the NZFWDA on the 31st Of July, is an ongoning battle to get the membership numbers out of the Exec.

Thanks Curly. Karen has sorted it out by ringing NZFWDA this morning. They have said they are having trouble with a few affiliation fees being lost in the system and that I can pick up my licence at scruteneering again

Sweet picked up the truck last night and found out the ends of the ht leads where cracked and it was shorting out. That explains why it was running like crap.
Have now found that it has dumped all of the hydraulic fluid out of the locker again while at the dyno. Everytime the diff heats up it pushes the fluid out the top of the reservoir. We thought we had it sorted but can only assume that there must be a big air bubble in there that is going to require the diff to be removed to be fixed. Guess that is going to have to wait until after this weekend.

You sure as hell know how to be offensive Skid. Why would anyone go out of their way to help you with that sort of comment!

Peter, I don't know if its personal thing with the exec, but it seems that some of the wellington clubs are being ignored.
letters get sent and we get no replies
we offer to hold trials and we get no replies
and a whole bunch of other shite
all we ask if for execs to be a little more pro active in thier correspondence as it seems to be lacking slightly
when we mention that it doesnt seem to be a good idea to hold a speed event with the need for helmets, we get shot down.
we are only trying to throw common sense into the equation but it seems that doesnt seem to exist in some folks world
