Is it possible to have dual alts? I tend to think outside the box and come up with some weird ideas!!! Just change out a/c pump brackets with alt ones and charge each battery with it's own alt useing diodes to isolate each battery input so they will still function properly. I will be getting a winch soon and am just trying tomake sure that I will have enough amps giong back to the battteries.

Yes you can run two alternators. if you are planing on running two , i would try put one of them up higher in the engine bay ( less mud in it ) so if the other one dies, you still have a alternator to get you home
