the lockers are really good. Gives you the best of both worlds with a locked diff but still being able to turn corners.

Not sure on price but seems about right

They are good value for money.

I think of them as being better than a welded diff, but not as good as a selectable locker.

If you use it on the road, being a small truck, be prepared for some minor, but noticeable change's in handling characteristic's on the road when cornering, and the odd strange clunk and bang when maneuvering in a parking lot or gas station.

Icekayak has one complete in a diff head for sale i think?? Flick him a PM.

Thanks guys,I saw Icekayak one on T M I think, but being in the deep south I think the freight would kill that Idear. Are they easy enough to fit or am I best to take diff head out an give it to someone who knows what there doing?

I've got one that I pulled out of my sammy when I was thinking of going A class. (Ended up selling the truck and going up to E class - can't wait for round 1 this weekend).

Anyway - there is not much to them - essentially a couple of spring loaded ratchets that replace the spider gears and side gears. They are great off orad, but you want to watch out when accelerating around a roundabout - cos they clank and bang and occasionally the whole back end of the truck jumps sideways...
I can't guarantee the condition and you might want to have an engineer (like Brian Howat) have a look at it for wear - but you can have it for $200.

If it's not in the head already i would suggest getting a diff specialist to install it to make sure everything is running true. If its not it will whine like a bitch and probably stuff the side bearings.
And it'l only take them about half an hour.
