I run one of these boxes and they have an electric Worm drive motor on the back of the transfer case so is probably locked in.

Normally they are operated by an electric knob on the gear lever which winds them in and out. The motor quite often gives trouble and can get stuck in 4 wheel drive.

I have converted mine to air operated. Others fit a manual lever or else you need to get the wiring sorted to make it work properly.

They are a bloody good box

Cheers Richard
