96 surf basic modds

Am a newbie currently driving a 96 diesel manual surf, picked up a new ARB locker for $1200. Am looking at getting some new muddies. What else would you look at doing, dont want to do anything major as i'd rater a early 90's hilux but this has to do for the next year or so. Have grown up driving standard 4wds as far as we could get them with rope around the tyres and what ever else we could come up with so it won't take much to impress me:) Cheers
