Safari/Super Wader Branded SNORKELS

has anyone ever used this brand of snorkel before

I have one here that has been bought, but the template doesnt seem to wanna mate up with my 80 series cruiser in any way, shape or form.

so before I go cutting holes all over my guard for no reason, I wanna make sure I get them in the right place.

they seem to be a direct copy of the safari brand snorkel right down to the logo

so if anybody has a pic of thier safari template of better still the actual thing that I can get my hands on, then I'd be more than grateful

Cheers

righto then

it seems I have the only super wader snorkel imported into NZ for an 80 series

what I got, is what it is, so theres no instructions, a template that doesn't even resemble my guard and a couple of screws and a bracket in a bag and no idea where any of it goes on what I consider to be a vital component.

the reply email also said that I would just have to do it by sight, which is at the bottom of my list at the moment.

they did however tell me that the safari instructions should be the same, so am currently annoying the ARB apprentice boy for a copy of a safari template and instructions

failing that, I will be placing a call to you Badnuz

Skid- If you can manage to line up and cut the hole out by eye (shouldn't be too hard?) just put a dot of paint on the snorkels screw holes and push the snorkel against the body of the truck to transfer their location.

Will be interesting to see how well it fits. I'm amazed someone would copy a snorkel/take molds and pop out new ones and not even bother to change the logo.

Whats it made out of? ABS or glass?

thanks to Mr Offroader, I got a safari brand template which I taped on and marked out the holes.............

Image

as you can see, it is completely different from the super wader template that came with the snorkel...........

Image

so now that I have 2 templates, I have put them together and on the guard and on the back of the snorkel etc etc etc

but it seems I'm gonna have to get out the tape measure and determine where the big hole needs to go and then make my own template that actually meets up with the holes etc etc etc

the safari brand template is bloody close but some of the holes dont quite line up, so rather than have a guard that resembles a cheese grater, I will attempt to do it properly, but not just yet as there are a few more important jobs to get done on it, if I ever manage to get a weekend at home in the near future.

you'll find if you tape the template to an actual 80 series guard it would make more sense
