Hi all,

I am building a 70 series MWB cruiser (manual) - out of 2 trucks my original truck also a manual has the standard PTO winch fitted- the new truck has no winch.

I am going to fit the winch from the original truck to the new one - whats involved in fitting the PTO output to the transfer case ? Do I just remove the plate or is it more major ?

i haven't had a close look yet just trying to see what I may be up for...

Cheers,

Pete

There should be a drive cog for the PTO in the transfer case , and you need to check if your new truck has that ... other wise you mite need to swap transfercases as well..or put a cog in the new truck..

Hi,

If the cogs not there does the transfer case need to be removed to fit it ?

It can be done in place but you have to split the housings apart to fit the drive gear

or you could swap complete gearboxes over

Hi OK thanks - hopefully its (the gear) in there.....I am getting tired of crawling around under the truck. Have fitted springs and shocks etc so far .... Just want to get the truck on the road again.

Cheers,
