Is this all correct??

ive got a bone stock non intercooled kzn185 done 230k.
im to soon be towing a trailer around 1800kg quite often, so need to get some more juice from this beast.
from what ive researched, can someone answer these questions
--- what intercooler can i install that will not require a body lift, apart from the standard setup from a intercooled kzn185.
--- i am installing a 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust from the turbo. im fairly sure by installing the pyro egt gauge in the down pipe 10cm from the turbo will still give accurate results, except at a slightly lower temp level?
--- by tightening the screw on the fuel pump, its giving it more diesel, so will this in turn more gas, or the same, as by giving it more diesel, yields greater power so less acceleration needs to be used?.. and if that theory is correct, this means it will have higher max power?
--- am i right in saying that by using the egt gauge, i can wind up the boost to say up to 15psi so long as the egt's stay at an acceptable level, as well as give more fuel if need be? and that this will be safe for long towing periods providing the egt's are safe.. i know on petrols the higher the boost we would wind the timing back. do we have problems with pre detonation on diesels?
--- lastly by doing the above, cleaning out inlet manifold, ditching egr. ditching the throttle body, intercooler, exhaust, boost, maybe fuel if doesnt worsen economy alot, , how much power could i obtain extra,
hope thats understandable, just needing to be sure i tackle it the right way,
thanks
