Stiff Steering After Bodylift

Just done a 2" body lift on my KZN130 surf & since then the steering is stiff.
Ive ground out the penetration thru the firewall to allow the steering shaft to drop a little & its not touching there.
Remounted the rubber bush that seals around the shaft as it goes thru the firewall...so not binding there.
Loosened off a cpl of the splines on the shaft to allow it to lengthen slightly....even used a pry bar to try to force it to be a little longer so im reasonably sure thats not the problem.
Anyone got any other ideas ???
Cheers
Trev

check that the steering damper is not fouling on anything because i had that problem with a 2" body lift and aftermarket damper, it would just stick when turning back from full lock and jerk a bit and only when turning left if i remember correctly
cheers sam

If you separated the splines are the u/j's still in phase?

any wear marks on the steering shaft, where it goes through the firewall? Mine rubbed their, but only at certain vehicle angles and flex, file fixed the problem.
I'd recommend a steering shaft spacer or longer shaft, as the splines will be slipped right out with a 2inch body lift.
The other place to check is the plastic boot, that covers steering rag joint and uni down by the steering box.
There is a factory main earth cable inside a plastic molded shaped guide thingy, that will know be out of place in relation to the plastic boot. Mine rubbed there to.
Have you checked the length / tightness of your hydraulic clutch line by the starter motor?
