Anyone know what size these tow hitches are made out of. I'm talking about the box section. Anyone know of anyone that can supply a weld on kit? just wanting the pin and piece of box section drilled and ready to weld on.
wanting to convert my current tow bar. Would get one made but this one is perfectly fine- just needs to be cut and new bit welded in.

mine's 65 x65 x 5mm wall thick ness and 50x50 x5 for the bit the tow tounge welded to and 20mm bar for the pin
measured this off a professonally built bar but could go bigger like muddyhilux
or go to tow bar manf and buy the bit you need I did that for the last one i built

Thanks all!
Didn't realize it would end up being that cheap. I'll go ask a proper tow bar place to modify it.
I figure its a great way to have a tow bar when needed and then a tow hook when needed on another insert.
thanks!

Shop around!!!
Most places quoted me damn near the price for a new one.
Get it reinforced also with extra gussets and perhaps a few extra mounting holes furthur up the chassis if possible to get the loading onto more bolts. Mine has 8 bolts holding it and is now gusseted to hell and back and will have a towing hook/eye fited for off road stuff.
Remember to remove the tongue and pin when not in use and store it safe (they get pinched a bit).
