bearings stuck

hi all, was doing rear axle seals on the xj and i cant get the bearing out ... have puller on it and heat, still wont move..have been told you can run a weld in side old bearing case and this can do the trick.. any thoughts cheers

hey dude.
Remember if you are using heat- you will need to heat the HOUSING as quickly as possible. Alternatively you could cool the Bearing using CRC freeze spray or that AIR IN A CAN stuff for blowing out keyboards- just turn the can upside down so it sprays out liquid CO2.
welding the inside of the race works as it shrinks the race as its cooling.

if ya cant fix it with a hammer or heat, it cant be fixed!

ha ha ,hey ya mark, you been hiding , put new seal and bearing in tonight after work , all good for another 5 or 6 kms
