New Trail?

Post by motorhead »

I have just met a local here in Martinborough who has access to 10,000+ acres, Lots of veried track, 9 river crossings. Will try to get out in the next few weeks with an update.

He said "the more the merrier"! Sounds like a fun go but need to check out first to make sure it's all he says it is and not just some paths.

Ok, here's the deal.
Will be going out for a scouting trip on the 9th of Jan. Anyone interested in going? I can't get Google Earth ot load  but the location is Mt Adams about 20k's out of Martinborough. Not promising major challanges but there are water crossings (no sediment police :D ) but right now no snorkels required if the rivers stay moderate.

Mt Adams is 5500ft and should provide great views. If this works out there is enough track for overnite trips, there are a couple of huts in different places.

Now for the dollars  . First trip MAY be free but still working on that. Pay for a day trip will be 5-10dollars to help with maintenance costs of the tracks. Will be more if overnite and using the huts.

Would like to leave Martinborough about 10 to have the most seat time possible.
