ok ok as of late i have put my new old motor back into the truck, have need cold start afm etc. now for all you mechanically minded people out there this one is for you, now i have all the wires wired up right, wires connected earth straps on, fuel hoses hooked up it gets fuel to the rail but thats as far it goes and the problem is when i cranked it over thats all it does it wont fired has a little back fired everynow and then, i have pulled out dizzy reset it with TDC with no result, now this is driving me mad it is something really simple and i am getting over it real fast so if i can't get to run this time it will be up for sale as is without wheels, tyres, rear locker and winch-winchbar but will come with two complete 5mge motors,
SO PLEASE HELP ME OR MAKE AN OFFER CHEERS CRAIG
5mge Got me stumped
Re: 5mge Got me stumped
Have you pulled out injector to see if petrol will come out?? Checked that the injectors are firing? I managed to put my fuel feed on the wrong way round on the fuel rail and meant that it wasn't getting any fuel

Re: 5mge Got me stumped
Hows the fuel pump? It needs to have enough pressure to crack the injectors open.
I have put the AFM on around the wrong way in the past, and that didn't help things go well either

Ugly is a state of mind..... and the state of my truck!
Re: 5mge Got me stumped
yer fuel pump sounds sweet fuel getting into the rail, and the AFM on the right way as mike put it on when motor went in, it's starting to get to me

Re: 5mge Got me stumped
start with the basic's first..have you got spark at the plugs ? use a timing light on each of the leads... its safer... if one or two dont flash the timing lite replace the spark plug lead..
are the plugs clean, not shitty from sitting around for awhile..
to check injectors its easy to hear them 'clicking' or using a small hose as a stesoscope.. as just getting the leads off can be a pain especaily #1 injector.
if the above dont work I have a lazy $100
