Put new side bars on during the week, went on club trip today with my 4 year old daughter.
Had a small oopps bent the front bar, going to have to do a rebuild, still it did its job well only small dent in the truck.

Installed replacement rear seats in the Escudo - after the teens broke one (hmmm now what could they have been up to in the back seat to break it - I wonder...). Tightened the handbrake - still crap - cables not pulling up together - one must be worn/ sticking.

Looked at my E class sammy in the shed - a bit of panel work and cage straightening to do. Need to get on to it, but next round not until end of Jan... :| :| :|

have you not got the answer to that already

put back diff back together, road tested the locker and works fine, now slips the wheels in turn, tested front locker, it seemed to work fine on axle stands but not at rally, ended up pulling front diff and discover a little issue, sorted that out, broke fitting went inside and watched movies instead, put it back together tomorrow.

then managed to swap some 8" beadlock rims with some 10" beadlock rims, so now have to strip 8 bloody tyres amd change them over onto the new rims after i recenter them with nascar centers. lucky trial is end of Jan.

Went into Macetown last night - guiding a visitor/novice 4WDer in with their tent-on-trailer.

River up a bit and some of the crossings are a bit deeper - but no real problem as we both have snorkels.

Not so for the Toyota Surf we met at the homestead remains - found it being towed out after ingesting some water.

Seems to be a lot of vehicles hydraulic in there...

Went on a club run up Manawahe. Put the Prado (and the new winch 8) ) thru its paces. The ole runva winch went well for the first run and being completely submerged.

got the front diff back together after making a hydraulic fitting, put front end together and road tested, definitely works now, then got kids motorbike going, fitted disk brake to nieghbours kid gokart, went to skids and spent some more of his money, new bearings, seals and caliper later we are now waiting for parts.

then came home and pulled nieghbours motor bike motor apart, sorted out why it siezed, magneto jammed the flywheel :) put it back together and bench run it,

now i need a weekend to recover
