Diagnostic software

Post by kiwipete »

Hi guys, was looking at a nissan car today that someone has mounted a computer in for a number of uses. One of which was for onboard diagnostic analysis. This software / hardware is supposed to work on all nissans, but I was wondering if anyone has herd / tried this on their 4x4.
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

If you run an aftermarket computer then you can interface it to a laptop... good for changing fuel maps, mixtures, timing etc on the fly... I don't know of any factory computers that you can do this with, but I have seen it done with MegaSquirts and Links...

I know Mike (SupraSurf) runs a mixture computer on his truck to adjust the mix on the fly... just a little kit from Jaycar I think... hardwire interfaced to the airflow meter from memory.

The txt below is quoted from the NZ supplier of this diagnostic software i am after, but im having trouble locating the plug mentioned.

Can anyone assist me here please?

This is for a 95 Auto Terrano TD27

It has worked on some Nissan Terranos, but some it hasnt. Its easy to
tell. The ones that it will work on have a grey consult connector you
can plug into behind the dash somewhere. Most likely next to a fuse
panel. It looks like the one in the photo attached. If it has this and
the ECU is original it should work fine.
