As above ive got a diesel LN61 88, I just replaced the altantor as the volts are very low.i Put a fully charged battery in-tryed 2 but the volts are still sad.

it most the time dosnt even make enough power to start.
and when u put the lights etc on they drop that low the radio will cut out now and then. Alternator is mint.

any ideas what it could be?

Checked all the wires off it? If it's not getting constant 12v from the battery it wont know to charge

Will check tomorrow, also to add the window wipers on max speed are as slow as if they were on low.

That would probably just be the low voltage. Had this problem on mine a while back. Changed batteries, changed altenators until i found a wiring diagram. My altenator has two wires apart from the main wire. One for charge light and one 12v constant

dont these have a seperate voltage regulator (black box on the pass side guard)? If that has died then it wont charge (I think).
