So I'm nearly there. Am putting a lux body on my safari as per my GQ project thread.

The body going on is a single cab body from an 82 or 84 hilux (cant remember ) I know its the same as Jafa's though.

Once it goes on my plans for the body are fairly simple- FG guards from steve in hamilton with the larger arch (same as jafa's) and replacement doors without dents or ripples.

Q1, whats the model code/name for my cab. I've been getting confused.

Q2, What other trucks/years have compatible doors etc. The cab currently has doors that dont fit too well- they stick out past the front guards at the top. I've been told this is because they are from the wrong year truck? What year is this so I can stay away from it.

Q3, has anyone in hamilton got a chrome front grille for sale for a reasonable price?

Q4, is there a crowd in NZ making tube bars for hiluxes off the shelf? I ask because ive seen tons of luxes on ORE with sweeet armor.

Cant wait to get this shit on there.

I bud if you havent got a grill by the time im up getting my Lux i can prob bring one up with me (will check with the wrecker on stock).

And all i know them as a 65 series cab and i thought the surf and single cab hilux doors were the same but ive never been 100% certain.

And most of the tube bars would be custom made, Heaps of company's in OZ make tube/winch bars but mainly for Cruisers and Patrols so you could buy one to bolt up to your Chassis But you are better off getting a Enginner to bend you up one to your design's etc

85-88 Surf doors fit, I've got them on my LN65. Only odd looking thing is that there are 2 door handles on the passenger side, inside the door (for the back seat passengers to use when in a surf)

could probably check on monday but most parts for these available taiwanese,usually quite cheap.

If ya wrecker has tons of parts- get me a price on two STRAIGHT front doors- the rubber that goes around the door hole seam in the body. The doors need to have all rubbers etc too. Oh and manual windows if possible

Would be raaaaaad. And let me know how much the chrome grille is gonna set me back.... and make sure its nice and clean and nice.

I want this shit to sparkle when its all together

PS. Drove your car today. Twice. lol. Backed it out into the car park... and then drove it back in. Also put it from D to R a few types and pretended to have hydro's.
