Rear Swaybar on safari

So...when i bought my truck, it was missing the factory rear swaybar disconnect - (STABI thing) and whoever, had just attached the rear swaybar to the chassis by using the mount from the STABI thing and a tie rod...
This bracket had broken over time, and had been rewelded by the looks of it...but today it fully broke off when i was playing in the mud.

I am wondering what peoples thoughts are on fixing this.

Obviously it could be rewelded on - but I am not convinced that its the best way forward - as the bracket doesnt look like its in the right place, maybe it needs a longer tie rod?

Is there some kind of 'thing to do' when removing the STABI?

Removing the swaybar is an option - but I believe it is required for a WOF so perhaps welding on the bracket and putting a few gussets on, and removing it for offroading, and installing for a WOF check..?

Cheers

Likewise, hasn't been an issue for the warrant.
Got a hell of a shock when I found out that they have a factory front sway bar as well!!!!

Anyway it might be one of those stupid law's, like if you have only three mudflaps you will fail a warrant. Take the remaining three off and you will pass

I took both front and rear off and was suprised how well it still handles onroad but made for noticeable flex on the rear offroad.

None on mine either, and no noticeable difference with on road handling except the body roll.

Mine had no front one when I got it and is sweet but there is a bit more body roll without the rear in. They're not speed machines anyway so if you drive sensibly it'll be fine. Unsure about insurance bs if you crash though.
