EGT & Boost gauge fitted to Terrano

Finally got around to fitting my gauges which had been in the workshop for the best part of six months.

It wasn't too difficult although I the probe for the EGT isn't in the exhaust manifold yet, the local garage is soldering a nut on for me on Tuesday.

I plumbed into the turbo lines near the intake manifold for the boost gauge as per pics.

Installing the gauges was fairly easy, they are held onto the dash with double sided tape and are fairly secure. I drilled a couple of holes from underneath for the wires. I hacked into some wiring behind the dash but didn't bother hooking up the dimmer feature as they aren't too bright anyway.

Boost maxed out at 10psi. After christmas I might find a tuner down this way to increase the boost and fuel a bit and see how we go.

Hose clips! Might want to clamp those pipe joins with clips or they may work loose.

How much did the gauges set you back (and the EGT probe)?

Yeah I've got to get some hose clips tomorrow.

I think I ended up paying around $240 for both gauges and courier. Both include all the other bits you need including EGT probe etc.

I got them off trademe.

I hope they weld it and not solder it as it will melt off.

I'm sure it must be welded then.

I used the smallest cable tie on my boost gauge. Much tidier than a hose clip and it held with 21psi on my first truck and 10psi on my second.
