mate o mine has an automatic Big Horn (will leave joke here )...and was wondering.....how do you get the gear box out He was told you have to go in thru the flexi plate and undo it thru there??

Yeap, or the starter appature, should be three or four bolts to release the convertor. Make sure its pushed back into the box bell housing, dont want that falling out on ya toes!!!
