As a matter of interest what tyre are you going to??

Will need to look at this soon and would like to know your thoughts.

Tyres on our truck are well past their use by date but will have to do for a bit longer due to funding.

that is the $$$$ question, i am quite happy with mudzillas but skid whinges alot :D :D

to be honest, climbing and bogs they rock, sidling they ok but have tendency to slip a little bit, about the width of a tyre, or just into the pegs. I had Mudzillas on my truck for about 3 seasons, new set every year, so am looking at changing brands for a change.

wranglers have be suggested, mud kings if ya can track them down, might borrow a set of grabbers and have a drive, to be honest everyone has a opinion and they ALL conflict.

when they sell i then have the pressure to figure out what to get before next trial :)

cheers that was what I had heard about mudzillas but do see more and more trials trucks using them now.

Shame we can't cut the tyres as that would save a heap of money for everyone if you could cut the sharp edge back into them. Our spare tyre the previous owner had done this and amazing how sharp they are. Thinking about putting in a remit to allow re grooving of tyre as long as not changing original pattern, but suspect people with $$ to spend won't allow it to go through.

Having said that makes it easier to justify the purchasing of new tyres with the misses if you can say rules say we can't modify what we have so need a new set to make it a lot safer

Altough she is very good about things like that and even said I could buy Dan Cowpers trials truck when I suggested it as a joke, but the deal is she gets to spend the same amount of money. Problem being an accountant is I hate spending $$ and even worse if I know it is going to cost double :(
