These diesel B series are about the biggest 6 clys you can get.Been around for a few years now.And seem to have very good reviews, for performance/reliability/power.Don`t plan on doing this myself.Just wondering if it is another option to the Chev 6.5,one reads about on the Aussie forums.

Would a Cummins 5.9 fit into a Patrol engine bay?
its about time we started talking real donks
...
i think shell fit its just the length that wil get ya(maybe a firewall tuck)
so why the b serries to be honest they arnt the best ,very renonuded for cracking manifolds tec....the b spec were actually a marine based engine(correct me if im wrong) ,built for torque and not high horses.
have you done any homework on the later powerstrokers ?,now these a far superior donk and provide huge torgue figures
but the 6.5 siera chey bb turbo is a good donk, well priced and sound awesome..
well no matter what you do its gona cost you 10k plus for a engine that works well
but good luck what ever road you go down

Hi krawlr,I just found this site a few minutes ago http://www.powerspec.cummins.com Just punch in your trye size, various ratios etc,and she`ll tell you if your gearing is within acceptable rev limits.Still looking for a site that can give me the engine specs.IE weight, lenght, width etc.Cummins sell alot of these engines to fit the Dodge Rams.Over a million of `em on the roads now.
