Been a super long weekend for most and it was no different for me.
Started on Xmas eve, when I walked into the bush to spend 5 days over xmas relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet of the bird calls and the cascading river.............
Awesome time in there, where I walked amongst amazing back country scenery...................

did some washing..............

ate some bloody good food as per usual in the bush.........

and visited a few of the huts I used to stay in over 20 years ago as a young fulla.................

stopped off on the way up river yesterday to say gidday to Cindys mum............

then we carried on to see another mate and had a look at the new Papatahi Hut, that DOC are building.................

there will be well over 100 steps by the time they've finished building the path to Papatahi..............

and did a fair bit of comtemplating over the weekend............
